Capturing a moment, a mood, a thought is what motivates Joan Wolbier to create art. She works with a variety of media, always wanting to satisfy her curiosity and to challenge herself as a visual artist. During her career, Joan has studied figure drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and book arts. Her favorite medium is watercolor and she loves to paint landscapes, plants, and wildlife. She recently published a book of her paintings titled "Painting Colorado: A Watercolor Journal." This is masterful~! The colors of the trees are just right....green, but tinted by the pink light....not such an easy effect to achieve. The reflections and the mountains add to the magic, and the clouds in the water hint at the sky not seen above. Fav!
